situation makes this more difficult because we can't go over to visit.

Today is Grammie's birthday; the children traced themselves on brown paper,
cut themselves out, and coloured themselves in. We then took some headshots,
printed them off, and attached them to the paper bodies. In the afternoon, we
delivered them to her house as "virtual hugs".
We also got about 15cm of snow.

Today was a gorgeous day. We decided to build a trampoline. It took many hours
but we got it done. This should be something fun for the kids to do while in
quarantine.
Here is a video of us building it.

Today, we filled my red fedora hat with tons of little papers with fun
activities on them. When the children are bored, they can pull a paper out of
the hat, and do it.
They were so excited about the idea that they wanted to draw something as soon
as they were done. They picked "kids make supper" so they made pizza. No
injuries or accidents.

We had church at home today. Our church streamed a video on YouTube.
This is the last day of March break.
Today, the Nova Scotia government declared a state of emergency. Social
gatherings are now limited to 5 people, and only essential businesses are open
(grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, etc). Apparently, the government
noticed a lot of people were going to the beach so all provincial parks are
now closed, too.

We had our usual Saturday pancakes for breakfast. The children enjoyed extra
computer time. After lunch, we headed out to the beach for a walk. We had
assumed that not many people would be out since it's so cold; but we were
wrong. Both Cleveland, and Queendsland beach were crowded. We ended up going
all the way to Bayswater which was doable. Still, some people weren't really
trying to keep their distance. The kids had fun running in the water and
getting wet. We finished up at the beach by having some hot chocolate in the
car.
On the way home, we stopped at the church to help with live stream set up.
A great day! The children still seem to struggle with the idea of quarantine
but we're getting there.

Today, we went to church as usual. A few protective measures were put in
place to help stop the spread of the virus: the offering plate wasn't passed
through the pews, we didn't have coffee and snacks afterwards, etc.
Later in the day, it was announced that Nova Scotia now has three cases of the
corona virus. We were the last Canadian province to have any cases.
We visited with Grammie & Granddad, and with the Campbells. Probably the last
time for a while.
